Welcome to our third edition of the St Luke’s Guiding Lights newsletter.

We have been busy bees working behind the scenes, with our sponsorship, learning and art programmes well underway.

We have been attending various events this month to promote our St Luke’s Guiding Lights art trail, including the Devon Chamber, City Conversations, at Foot Anstey and The Arts Society evening at Future Inns.

Thanks for having us, it has been great meeting new people, connecting with local businesses, and sharing all exciting our updates.

SchoolsA huge welcome to the new schools who have joined the Guiding Lights project in July – Stoke Damerel Primary Academy, Widey Court Primary School, Montpelier Primary School, Ham Drive Nursery School and daycare (incorporating Plym Bridge Nursery) and Keyham Barton Catholic Primary School.

We are so pleased to have you on board! The learner programme is fast gaining momentum as assemblies and visits are being booked in and the project reaches capacity with the number of schools and organisations signed up to join in the fun.
Just before the Summer holidays began, we sent schools a presentation to share which was aimed at sparking excitement and enthusiasm amongst students prior to our full assembly.

We also hope that students may be inspired to begin thinking about fundraising ideas ready for when they come back to school in September. We wish all our schools a very happy, well-deserved Summer break! Little Lukey Lighthouse, our travelling Little Light painted by the wonderful Mrs Murals has been very active since launch. So far, he has been admired at the Driftwood Cafe here at the Hospice, visited Calstock Open Gardens, took part in a superb photoshoot on the Hoe, attended Albion Golf Day, the new bookshop on Plymstock Broadway, City Conversations at Devon Chamber.

What a busy Little Light!
