After capturing hearts across the city this summer, the St Luke’s Guiding Lights lighthouse sculptures will embark on the final stage of their journey when they go under the hammer at a spectacular auction finale.
The Guiding Lights Auction takes place on Thursday 1 October at Rolle Marquee, University of Plymouth. The evening will begin at 6:00PM with a delightful reception featuring drinks and canapés, followed by the auction starting at 6:45PM. This event marks the grand finale of our Guiding Lights journey, where you can bid on beautiful large lighthouse sculptures and medium lighthouse sculptures, all while supporting St Luke’s Hospice.

Your ticket will give you access to an unforgettable evening of art, culture, and community, as we celebrate the culmination of this unique project.
To be eligible to bid on the night, you must complete the attached Bidder Registration Form and bring it with you to the event, together with:
- A valid form of photo ID
- Proof of address
These documents are essential and will be required before you can participate in the auction.
If you are planning to bring guests, please ensure that a ticket is purchased for each guest attending. As capacity at the venue is limited, we are keen to maximise the number of active bidders in the room to help us raise as much money as possible for the charity. Therefore, we kindly ask that only those intending to bid attend in person where possible.

What is the reserve price for each lighthouse?
The reserve price for each lighthouse sculpture is expected to start from £3,000, so be prepared for some fun and competitive bidding!
What did you raise at the 2019 Auction?
At our previous sculpture auction in 2019, the much-loved Elmer sculptures achieved sale prices ranging from £3,000 to £36,000, collectively raising more than £330,000 for St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth. It was an incredible result that helped fund compassionate care for local families facing the challenges of terminal illness.

Which lighthouses are available at Auction?
Our beautiful large and medium lighthouse sculptures will go under the hammer, while the remaining Little Lights from our education programme will return to the schools and community groupswho lovingly decorated them, as a lasting legacy of St Luke’s Guiding Lights.
