As we wrap up an incredible year, December gives us the perfect opportunity to reflect on our achievements, celebrate milestones, and look forward to the exciting possibilities ahead.
From launching our St Luke’s Guiding Lights project in May with a bang to attending many events and meeting lots of incredible people along the way.
Our last edition for the year is sprinkled with festive cheer, and we would like to wish you all a joyful holiday filled with warmth and laughter!

Light Up a Life
We were honoured to join our events team at the Light Up a Life Remembrance Services held at the Minster Church of St. Andrew. It was a deeply moving experience and a poignant reminder of the purpose behind our art trail. For the first time, we had the opportunity to share our exclusive Guiding Lights merchandise and we are so grateful to everyone who supported us.
Thank You to our Wonderful Volunteers!
We are so appreciative to have the support of volunteers Michelle and Chris in our events and project teams helping us so much with administration tasks. We would like to thank them wholeheartedly and wish them both a very happy Christmas.

A huge festive thank you to all the artists who shared their amazing designs! We are truly inspired by the creativity and talent both locally and regionally.
As we celebrate this season of giving, we want you to know how much your contributions mean to us, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 will have in store.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It has been wonderful venturing into schools in December and being amongst all the Christmas festivities going on. This month, Little Lukey lighthouse has enjoyed meeting children at Widey Court Primary School, Stoke Damerel Primary School, St Germans Primary School, Goosewell Primary Academy, Montpelier Primary School and Morley Meadow Primary School.
It is so heart-warming to see staff and the children’s enthusiasm for the Guiding Lights project and fundraising for St Lukes.
Thank you to each and every one of you for your support. A huge thank you to the schools and organisations that have set up their Just Giving pages – Goosewell, St Germans, Keyham Barton, Colourful Horizons/MKHeroes, Compton C of E, Widey Court and Stoke Damerel.
Please do think about setting up your school’s Just Giving fundraising page if you haven’t already done so. It’s an excellent way to share your fundraising with the wider community and track funds coming in.
Let us know if you would like us to re send the link and instructions about how to do this. We would like to wish you all a very merry and restful Christmas and we look forward to working with you in 2026 – the exciting year of St Lukes Guiding Lights!

This month, our team have been busy out in the community. Gina and Penny had the pleasure of presenting at two fantastic networking events: the Plymouth Area Business Council meeting and the hugely successful launch of the Really Useful Network (RUN) at the Crowne Plaza in Plymouth. Both events were brilliantly attended, offering wonderful opportunities to share our vision for Guiding Lights and to connect with new and familiar supporters. See some snaps below!
Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that more sponsors will be revealed in early 2026. We can’t wait to welcome them on board as we begin shaping next year’s trail during our Art Selection Event at the National Marine Aquarium on 22 January 2026. It promises to be a vibrant, collaborative occasion where creativity and community come together.
We hope all of our incredible sponsors and their teams have a happy and healthy festive season!
We are so grateful for all your support – it is what makes our team shine. Here’s to an even more exciting year ahead!
We can’t wait to see you in 2026…
