Favourite Artist: Artists who can take something familiar and make it feel magical inspire me. Matisse does this through his mark making in landscape paintings and Anna Atkins does it through her delicate cyanotypes of plants. In different ways, they both show how shape, colour and light can create wonder, which is something I try to bring into my own art practice.
