Launch event

St Luke’s Hospice Plymouth are thrilled to announce the launch of the St Luke’s Guiding Lights 2026 Art Trail and Auction, marking the beginning of an exciting project that will bring creativity and community spirit to the heart of Plymouth and our outreach areas.

A heartfelt thank you to Real Ideas, Ocean Studios at Royal William Yard for generously allowing us to host this special event in such a stunning and inspiring venue. In conjunction with our Event Production Partner, PL1 Events, the evening will see us proudly unveil the first two sculptures of the project: a full-sized lighthouse sculpture, beautifully designed and painted by the renowned Brian Pollard, and our smaller traveling lighthouse, featuring a striking ‘Smeaton’s Tower’ theme, expertly brought to life by the talented Mrs Murals.

This launch event will also shine a light on the key threads that run throughout the project, including our sponsorship programme— with sincere thanks to our already signed-up sponsors— as well as our learning and art programmes, which will be at the heart of the trail’s community impact. We are also delighted to welcome guest speaker Charlie Langhorne from Wild in Art, whose insight and passion for public art trails will help set the tone for the exciting journey ahead.
