Coombe Dean Academy

About Us

Coombe Dean School is proud to be part of the Guiding Lights project, recognising it as a powerful opportunity to support the vital work of St Luke’s Hospice while deepening our students’ sense of compassion, creativity, and community. As a school rooted in values of community and care, we see this initiative as a meaningful way to help raise awareness around end-of-life care and bereavement support, while giving our young people a chance to express themes of hope, guidance and remembrance through art. It also opens important conversations around wellbeing and empathy- qualities we actively nurture through our curriculum and wider school life.

Participating in the art trail also allows our students to take learning beyond the classroom in a way that celebrates teamwork, creative thinking, and responsibility. By contributing to this city-wide display, Coombe Dean is not only supporting a brilliant local cause but also giving students a voice in the community- helping them feel part of something bigger, positive and lasting. It’s a reflection of our commitment to a broad and balanced education, where character, connection, and contribution matter just as much as academic success.
