About Us
Colourful Horizons offers art workshops to children, adults, schools and businesses. We currently run After School Art Club’s at two Primary schools within the area, Art Club for Home Educated children, Art sessions at two local Care Homes, regular adult workshops at The Lounge at Ivybridge Leisure Centre, as well as collaborations with other creative businesses in the area during the school holidays and working in local schools, primarily with the military children of Plymouth – MKC Heroes. Colourful Horizons is all about giving everyone the chance to unleash their creative side, no matter their ability and experience, we are all about having fun and letting go of any pressure that surrounds the creative world.
As an ex-teacher I was very privileged to participate in the Elmer Parade in 2019 with a local secondary school, and the process was a very enjoyable and powerful one. The children took great delight in their achievements in decorating their Elmer and seeing it on display. Knowing we had contributed to this parade was incredibly heart-warming. To be given the chance to support such an important charity who changes the lives of so many, and to participate in such a memorable event within Plymouth fills me with such joy and excitement.
